I subscribed to your emails after finding you on facebook. I ran a womens networking group at the time and found your words of wisdom invaluable to them and myself. Many are/were crafter/makers who really, really dont charge enough… So your final words made me smile, they are as relevant now as when you first said them.
Your no nonsense approach has been refreshing. Thank you for that.
Very best wishes in your new ventures, I will do as you suggest and pop back into the subjects on a regular basis. As a garden designer who was in danger of being a ‘busy fool’, hard economics came into play and my prices have been increased this year (no one batted an eyelid) and I’m about to become VAT registered. Fact is, I really cannot afford to do ‘it’, whatever ‘it’ is, for nothing, someone is paying the fuel bill, and its me……No more! I either run a business or a charity, and I cannot afford the latter. So, your posts resonate with me too.

This is very sad news indeed. But I am sure you have a lot of new things to do and explore. Loved your advice and your style of writing. Thank you so much for keeping the blog up as I love to read it and I have been coming back a lot of times. Whenever I felt I needed someone to talk to, or just a little kick on the rear :) or just to reassure myself that I am on the right path and that it is worth doing. Still on the fence about my prices :( as I feel increasing them will drive the customers away. You inspired me to take my crochet blog further and actually open a shop on Etsy. 2015 was supposed to be my full speed year but I ended up devoting a lot of time to family commitments but I plan to remedy that by the year end.Thank you once again.
